Natural Gas is measured in MMBtu (Million British Thermal Units), Gold is per troy ounce, and for Nickel the price reflects price per share of (NIKL) ETF. They are all indexed to be at 100 at the start of the period.

 

Natural Gas (Green) showed the most movement this week. It started the week off by declining and continued to do so throughout the week. It ended the week ~22% below the baseline. Gold (Yellow) stayed steady throughout the week with a slight increase on Dec 10 ending the week at 2.1% above the baseline. Nickle (Red) and Brent Oil (Black) followed a similar pattern for the week. Nickle (Red) declined with a minor increase on Dec 11th however, continued to decline after ending the week at ~ 3.8% below the baseline. Brent Oil (Black) declined during the week as well and ended the week at ~4.1% below the baseline.

The center line is a rolling three-month average. The upper and lower boundaries are the average plus and average minus one standard deviation, respectively, for the same three-month period.

 

Natural Gas (Green) declined this week falling below the upper bound ended off this week with a price of $4.1/MMBtu. Brent Oil (Black) fell below the lower bound this week ending with a price of $61.20/Barrel. Nickle (Red) remains above the lower bound even with its decline and ended the week at a price of $13.68. Lastly, Gold (Yellow) remains above the upper bound with a minor decline this week and a price of $4300.10/Troy oz.
